This 103-year-old Raleigh retains its original paintwork in good condition, with most of its ornate box-lining intact.

The Raleigh name transfers (decals) on the headstock and chaincase are readable.

And the nickel-plated handlebars and wheels have also weathered the ravages of time quite well.

The machine was recently serviced and is ready to ride.

The bicycle’s most interesting feature is the Concealed Roller Lever Brakes (below). This was a Lea Francis patent, and Raleigh offered this as an option on its own bicycles for only one year.
